Slovenia PM: Israeli Occupation Recognition Of Palestine Required For Trump's Peace Plan


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob welcomed the initiative of US President Donald Trump to stop the war in Gaza, but expressed that no peace plan will be viable unless it is accompanied by Israel's recognition of an independent Palestinian state, Wednesday.
This came from an interview Golob did with Slovenian Television and published by the Slovenian news agency.
Golob added that his country has long sought to end the fighting in Gaza and achieve peace, welcoming President Trump's latest plan.
He also announced that Jordan's King Abdullah II will participate in the European Mediterranean Union Countries Summit MED9, which will be hosted by Ljubljana this October, where the topic of rebuilding Palestine will be at the top of the agenda. (end)
