J-C Couture is an adjunct colleague and instructor with the Faculty of Education, University of Alberta.

Previously he coordinated the research program for the Alberta Teachers' Association (2000-2018) which led to his continued efforts to build strategic foresight in education organizations. Formerly a Research Fellow, Manchester Metropolitan University, he is active in a number of international projects that include the development of graduate courses dedicated to mobilizing the transdisciplinary scholarship in educational futures applied to teacher organizations, school leadership, curriculum renewal and assessment.
