Kuwait Joins International Association Of Medical Regulatory Authorities

KUWAIT, Sept 30 (KUNA) -- The Medical Liability Authority announced Kuwait's accession to the International Association of Medical Regulatory Authorities (IAMRA), reflecting the country's keenness to strengthen its global presence in medical regulation and align with Kuwait Vision 2035.
In a statement to KUNA, Authority President Dr. Salman Al-Sabah said this membership crowns Kuwait's ongoing efforts to reinforce its international standing in the field of medical governance and to actively contribute to shaping global health regulation policies.
He explained that the objective is to exchange expertise with leading global entities, adopt initiatives that improve regulatory practices, safeguard patient rights, protect healthcare professionals, and ensure a positive impact on the quality of healthcare services.
Dr. Al-Sabah affirmed Kuwait's commitment to transforming international expertise into practical policies serving the local health system, marking the beginning of a new stage of long-term cooperation with the global community to develop legislation and strengthen Kuwait's influence.
IAMRA, established in 2000, is among the most prominent global bodies specializing in medical governance, currently comprising 46 member states following Kuwait's accession, making it a key platform for sharing expertise and shaping international healthcare policies. (end)
