Canada Allocates ₴92 Million To Ukraine To Strengthen Cybersecurity
"Canada will allocate approximately ₴92 million (CAD 3 million) to support the implementation of projects under the Tallinn Mechanism. The funding is calculated for two years. The funds will be used for several strategic initiatives for the systematic development of Ukraine's digital security, in particular for the protection of critical infrastructure, systematic counteraction to cyber threats, the creation of effective systems for detecting, preventing, and responding to cyberattacks, as well as the supply of equipment," the statement said.
It is noted that Canadian partners have already selected six projects for funding. Among them are support for the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
Funding will come through the U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF Global), an organization with experience in implementing technical assistance projects in Ukraine.
