According to Havelsan's press service, the Sancar armed unmanned surface vessel has completed acceptance trials and is now ready for delivery to national security units.
The first Sancar drone will be handed over to the Armed Forces soon.
Havelsan General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar explained that beyond its military role, Sancar also has potential for civilian applications, including logistics and other non-combat tasks.
The vessel measures 12.7 meters in length and 3.3 meters in width, with a displacement of 9 tons. It is powered by two diesel engines and equipped with two waterjets, enabling speeds of over 40 knots. Sancar has a range of 400 nautical miles at 10 knots (74 km/h) and can operate in light storm conditions.
As reported earlier, Havelsan also unveiled its newest kamikaze drone, ÇAKA S-KUSV, at the 17th International Defence Industry Fair in Istanbul.
