I am an Associate Professor of Agri-Food Trade and Policy at the Department of Food, Agricultural and Resource Economics (FARE), University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada and was also a Visiting Professor (Jean Monnet Fellow -2023/24) at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, European University Institute, Florence, Italy. Prior to my current position, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Tuborg Research Centre for Globalization and Firms of Aarhus University, Denmark, as well as a Max Weber postdoctoral fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies of the European University Institute, Florence, Italy. My research and teaching experiences are in the areas of international trade, political economy, globalization and development, energy and environment, food and agriculture. Apart from my academic work, I consult occasionally for international organizations such as the African Development Bank, Ivory Coast and the International Trade Centre, Switzerland, and the Executive Founder of the Centre for Trade Analysis and Development (CeTAD Africa). I am also the Associate Editor for the journal, Climate and Development, and International Associate at the Environment and Natural Resource Research Initiative (ENRRI-EfD Ghana).
