Ghazni Residents Construct 2 School Buildings

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Two school buildings have been constructed at a cost of approximately 27 million afghanis fully funded by local residents and put into use in southern Ghazni province.

Mohammad Asif Ekhlaqi, a resident of Jaghori district and project coordinator, told Pajhwok Afghan News the buildings were constructed in the Aliato area of the district.

He said these projects valued 27 million afghanis, entirely contributed by the local community.

Zakir Afzali, another resident, explained the schools were built by the people and some charitable organizations to strengthen the country's education sector.

According to Mohaddesa, a student, previously, due to the lack of proper classrooms, students faced numerous challenges. However, with the construction of these two buildings, many of these problems have been resolved.

Maulvi Bismillah Hamid, Education Director, expressed hope that such benevolent initiatives by the people would provide a suitable learning environment for all children.

These buildings are separate facilities for boys and girls,“The total cost of these schools reaches 27 million afs. Both schools have been built on 2.5 acres of land. One has 16 classrooms, and the other has 12, along with administrative offices, halls, meeting rooms, toilets, and other necessary facilities, providing learning opportunities and conveniences for thousands of students.”: he added.

Previously, residents of districts such as Jaghatu, Malistan, Jaghori, Andar, and others have personally funded the construction of schools, health centers, and major roads.
