According to the ministry, 43,115 export shipments were recorded in the first five months of 1403, rising to 48,928 in the same period of 1404 - a 13.5 percent increase.
In terms of foreign transit, 13,198 shipments passed through the country during the first five months of 1404, up from 10,601 in the corresponding period last year - an increase of 24.5 percent.
The ministry noted that most exports were sent to Pakistan, India, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan and Turkey.
