Nearly 700 Afghans Released From Pakistani Jails
KABUL (Pajhwok): Nearly 700 Afghan refugees have returned to the country this week after being released from jails in Pakistan, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Thursday.
In a post on X, the ministry stated that 694 individuals, who had been detained in various parts of Pakistan, were released and repatriated to Afghanistan.
According to the MoRR, these individuals had been held for periods ranging from one to five days.
Upon arrival in Afghanistan, the returnees were provided with humanitarian assistance and later transferred to their respective home districts, the ministry added.
