Second Attack In 24 Hours: SHO Injured, Wanted Criminal Killed In Charsadda Police Operation

A police encounter in the jurisdiction of Sardheri Police Station, Doserha Speen Arab area, left Station House Officer (SHO) Saleem Khan injured, while a wanted criminal was killed in retaliatory fire. According to police, the incident occurred during a raid to arrest suspects, when the accused opened indiscriminate fire on the raiding team.

Following the attack, District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda, Muhammad Waqas Khan, rushed to the hospital to inquire after the injured SHO. He stated that the wounded officer was being provided the best possible medical treatment.

Later, DPO Waqas Khan and SP Investigation Sajjad Khan, along with a heavy contingent of police, reached the site and personally led the operation.

Police confirmed that the deceased was a proclaimed offender and a former convict, wanted in several serious criminal cases. A search operation is continuing in the area to track down other fugitives, with raids being carried out at multiple locations.

It is noteworthy that just a day earlier, in the Majoki area of Charsadda, another police party had come under fire, resulting in the martyrdom of Head Constable Fasihuddin and serious injuries to ASI Qaiser Khan.

Shaheed Head Constable Fasihuddin belonged to Dargai and was the father of three children. His funeral prayers were offered late at night at Charsadda Police Lines before he was laid to rest in his native village of Dargai.
