President Of Supreme Judiciary Council Meets Syrian Justice Minister
Doha: President of the Supreme Judiciary Council and President of the Court of Cassation HE Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Hassan Al Mohannadi met with Minister of Justice of the Syrian Arab Republic HE Dr. Mazhar Abdul Rahman Al Wais and his accompanying delegation, who are on a visit to the State of Qatar.
The Syrian Minister of Justice's visit to the Supreme Judiciary Council was intended to review the experience of digital transformation for the judiciary system, as well as the commercial judiciary with respect to investment disputes.
He met with President of the Investment and Trade Court HE Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli, and toured the court's halls, where he reviewed the effective operation mechanisms the court pursues, along with its critical role in creating a judicial environment conducive to investment.
At the premises of the Court of Appeal and Cassation, Dr. Al Wais was briefed on the experience of the constant digital transformation journey to bolster justice systems, through a presentation that pitched the key steps the Supreme Judiciary Council takes to accelerate the judicial proceedings and ensure swift and effective justice.
The presentation was delivered by HE Judge Khaled Al Mansoori, a vice-president at the Court of Appeal, with President of the Court of Appeal HE Judge Sultan Matar Al Dosari, in attendance.
Upon wrapping up the visit, both sides underscored the depth of relations between the State of Qatar and the Syrian Arab Republic, along with the outcome of this visit in terms of a joint commitment to forging both legal and judiciary cooperation and sharing expertise.
