Doha: Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan H E Yerlan Koshanov affirmed that the State of Qatar is one of Kazakhstan's most important partners in the Middle East and the Arab world as a whole.

In a speech delivered during the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on Monday, he indicated that the State of Qatar, through its consistent mediation policies, contributes significantly to enhancing stability and security at the global level and plays an important role in consolidating trust, dialogue, and peace globally. He said that they appreciate the constructive initiatives and ongoing efforts made by the State of Qatar, which have received wide recognition from the international community.

He said that the Republic of Kazakhstan strongly condemns the military actions carried out by Israel against the State of Qatar, stressing Kazakhstan's unwavering support for the State of Qatar.

He added that whatever the stated objectives of such attacks, these actions must be absolutely unacceptable, as they violate the sovereign rights of the State of Qatar and contradict the principles of international law.

He indicated that resorting to military force would only lead to new waves of violence, pointing to the tragic events taking place in the Gaza Strip, where civilians are suffering the ravages of conflict.

He pointed out that Kazakhstan has consistently called for a ceasefire and the provision of urgent humanitarian aid to its population since the beginning of the conflict in Gaza.
