JHCO Delivers Indian Medical Shipment To Palestinian Health Ministry
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Ramallah, Sep. 14 (Petra) –Under supervision of Jordanian and Indian embassies in Palestine, Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) on Sunday delivered an Indian-donated medical aid shipment to Palestinian Ministry of Health.
In a statement, Palestinian Health Minister Majed Abu Ramadan said the donation includes medications for cancer patients, antibiotics, painkillers, asthma drugs, supplies for anesthesia, operating rooms, and emergency wards, as well as sterilizers and equipment for kidney dialysis patients.
Talking at the handover ceremony, Abu Ramadan said India's ongoing support is "not limited to medical assistance, but includes strategic projects," mainly the Indian hospital planned to be built in Jenin governorate with "generous" funding from the Indian government.
The minister also expressed gratitude to Jordan for its ongoing efforts in supporting the Palestinian health sector, noting JHCO's role in transporting and delivering the grant to the ministry's warehouses in Nablus governorate.
In turn, Jordan's Ambassador to Palestine, Issam Bdour, noted the Kingdom's role in facilitating entry of aid through King Hussein Bridge.
India's Ambassador to Palestine, Mahima Sikand, said this shipment is a "continuation of India's support for Palestine to alleviate suffering of Palestinian people."
