IDF blocks rocket fired from Yemen

(MENAFN) The IDF reported early Thursday that its air defense systems had blocked a bullet released from Yemen.

It stated in an announcement that “after sirens went off in various parts of the country, the Air Force neutralized a missile launched from Yemen.”

There was no further information given about the strike, and the Houthi group in Yemen, which is engaged in conflict with Israel, has not yet commented.

On Wednesday, the IDF military aircraft launched airstrikes on several locations in Yemen, that resulted in ending around 35 lives and 131 injuries, the Houthis stated.

The IDF alleged the strikes struck Houthi army targets in sites in the capital Sanaa and Al-Jawf governorate, citing that military aircraft hit Houthi army camps, the Houthi army's public relations headquarters and a fuel storage amenity.

The Houthis backed by Iran are attacking Israel with rockets and drones in response for the current Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip, and they are targeting ships connected to Israel.
