Türkiye Denounces Terrorist Assault in Northwestern Pakistan

(MENAFN) Türkiye sharply condemned the deadly terrorist assault in northwestern Pakistan that claimed the lives of 12 Pakistani soldiers on Saturday.

"We strongly condemn this heinous terror attack and wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives," the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated in an official release.

The attack occurred during an exchange of fire between Pakistani soldiers and terrorists in the region, according to the Pakistani military. At least 12 soldiers died in the confrontation.

The military also reported that between September 10 and 13, two separate military operations resulted in the deaths of 35 militants from the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
