SES And National Police Destroy Nearly 1 Million Explosive Devices Since 2022

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was announced on Telegram by Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko following a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine Masashi Nakagome, according to Ukrinform.

“Since the start of the full-scale war, the State Emergency Service and the National Police have found and destroyed about a million explosive devices. Some of them were destroyed using equipment provided by Japan. This means saved lives and safe communities,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In particular, Ukrainian rescuers have already received more than 20 mechanized demining vehicles, over 50 mine detectors, and other important equipment from Japan.

According to Klymenko, demining should not take decades, and the assistance of partners makes it possible to significantly speed up this process.

"Thank you, Japan. Your support makes Ukraine safer," wrote the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The parties agreed to continue cooperation: new equipment for demining, completion of the training center for State Emergency Service sappers, and medical support for personnel.
