Impounded Vehicles To Be Auctioned Next Week: MOI
Doha, Qatar: The Public Auction Committee at the Ministry of Interior has announced the sale of impounded vehicles starting September 14, 2025.
The Ministry stated on its social media platforms that the two-week auction will take place daily from 3:15 pm to 6:30 pm at the vehicle impoundment yard in the Industrial Area, Street 52.
Interested individuals can visit the yard for vehicle inspection on September 10 and 11, 2025, during the morning hours.
The Ministry listed 10 conditions for participation in the auctions , which include the following:
1. Entry into the auction by any person is considered an acknowledgment of reviewing the vehicles offered for sale and accepting their condition“as is.” It also signifies full awareness of all conditions regulating the auction, serving as a final legal approval for the authority.
2. Interested participants must obtain a bidding card before entering the auction yard by paying a deposit of QR3,000 in cash. The deposit is refundable at the end of each auction day upon returning the card, with the option of retaining it until the end of the auction and using it for multiple transactions.
3. The bidding card will be withdrawn from any bidder who fails to pay the deposit for a vehicle. In such cases, the card will be considered as the required down payment (deposit) for the sale, with necessary settlement made if applicable.

4. Cash payments exceeding QR50,000 are prohibited, in accordance with the law of the Council of Ministers.
5. If the vehicle price exceeds QR50,000, the amount must be transferred to the Police Treasury account using the IBAN number provided by the finance officer at the customer service counter.
6. Upon awarding of the auction, a non-refundable down payment equal to 20% of the sale value must be paid. The remaining amount must be settled the following day, although the full amount may be paid immediately at the time of awarding.
7. If the buyer fails to pay the full amount within 24 hours of the auction award, the committee reserves the right to re-offer the vehicle in another auction. In such cases, the buyer forfeits the down payment.
8. The buyer may not change the name on the deposit receipt to another person except after full payment of the purchase price. This procedure is subject to a fee of QR200.
9. An ID card must be presented at the time of awarding to complete registration procedures.
10. The committee reserves the right to exclude any person who has not settled outstanding amounts from previous purchases, as well as anyone who disrupts the committee's operations.
