Explore QF's Sports And Fitness Offerings At Inaugural Back-To-School Fair
Doha, Qatar: Qatar Foundation will host its inaugural Back-to-School Sports Fair on September 13, giving community members the opportunity to explore programmes, memberships, and facilities across Education City – including a new addition to its sporting scene.
More than 20 professional and community-based sports and fitness providers will host booths, showcasing inclusive programs and demonstrations for all ages and abilities. Offerings will include ladies-only fitness sessions, family-friendly activities, and options tailored for persons with disabilities.
Those who attend will also have the opportunity to explore Education City's world-class recreation venues, from Olympic-sized swimming pools and multi-purpose halls to elite training gyms, and learn about daily and long-term access options. An Education City booth will provide guidance on booking procedures, passes and membership plans, activity schedules, upcoming events, and venue accessibility.
The Back-to-School Sports Fair will also see the official opening of Qatar Foundation's newly upgraded Pitch No. 4, a FIFA-certified 9-a-side artificial turf facility designed to offer enhanced durability and year-round playability for both women's and men's teams.
To mark the inauguration of this facility, a friendly match between six teams from PSG Academy Qatar's Girls, from categories of U12 to U17, will take place.
“As we kick off the new academic year with our newly launched Back-to-School Sports Fair, we are once again emphasizing our commitment to providing the very best activities, facilities, and opportunities for our entire community,” Executive Director of Community Engagement and Programming, Qatar Foundation Communication Initiatives.
“Education City is more than just a place of learning; it's a vibrant destination for sports, culture, and community engagement. We encourage everyone to fully embrace and utilize what Education City has to offer, by coming along to explore, play, participate, and interact.”
Didier Domi, PSG Academy Technical Advisor and former Paris Saint-Germain professional player, said:“At PSG Academy, we believe football is a powerful tool to bring communities together and inspire young people to dream big. Being part of Qatar Foundation's Back to School Fair and giving our girls' team the chance to play on a world-class pitch, reflects our shared commitment to education, opportunity and creating pathways for every child to grow both on and off the field.”
The Back-to-School Sports Fair runs from 4-7pm on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Awsaj Recreation Center.
