Weather Stays Mild Through Wednesday, Warmer By Friday

Amman, Sept. 9 (Petra) -- Moderate weather is expected in most regions on Tuesday and Wednesday, while hotter conditions will prevail in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department.
Some clouds are forecast at different altitudes, with northwesterly winds remaining moderate and occasionally active.
Temperatures will rise slightly on Thursday and Friday, reaching around their seasonal averages for this time of year. The weather will continue to be moderate in most regions, and hot in the desert areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Low-altitude clouds are expected, with winds shifting between northwesterly and northeasterly at moderate speeds.
Today's temperatures are forecast to range between 30 C and 17 C in eastern Amman and 28 C to 15 C in western Amman. In the northern highlands, they will range between 27 C and 15 C, while the Sharah highlands will record 26 C to 14 C.
Desert areas will see highs of 35 C and lows of 17 C, while the plains are expected to range between 31 C and 17 C. The northern Jordan Valley will record 38 C to 21 C, and the southern Jordan Valley 39 C to 27 C.
At the Dead Sea, temperatures will vary between 37 C and 26 C, while Aqaba will record 38 C to 25 C.
