America's Leading Doctors Names Kevin Kruse, Md, Among Top Shoulder Surgeons Of 2025
DALLAS, Texas - Sept. 8, 2025 - Kevin Kruse, MD, has been named one of America's Leading Doctors in shoulder surgery by Newsweek for 2025, placing him among fewer than 200 orthopedic surgeons recognized nationwide.
The annual ranking, developed by Newsweek and research firm Statista, evaluates more than 25,000 physician recommendations, patient satisfaction data, and clinical performance metrics. In the shoulder surgery category, fewer than 1% of practicing orthopedic surgeons were selected.
Dr. Kruse is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Texas Orthopaedic Associates in Dallas. He performs more than 500 shoulder procedures each year, including total shoulder replacements, arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs, and complex revision surgeries.
“This recognition means a great deal because it reflects the trust of my peers-surgeons who know the technical and human sides of this work,” Dr. Kruse said.
Dr. Kruse earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Indiana University, where he was a linebacker and Academic All-Big Ten honoree. He completed his residency at Greenville Health System University Medical Center and trained in upper extremity surgery at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. He then completed two advanced fellowships-one in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and a second in shoulder surgery under Dr. Gilles Walch at Clinique de l'Europe in Lyon, France.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kruse lectures nationally on shoulder arthroplasty and publishes research in peer-reviewed journals. He is known for his precision in surgical technique and high-volume practice, which draws patients from across Texas and surrounding states.
