Jordanian Ambassador Discusses Media Cooperation With ASBU DG In Tunisia

Tunis, Sept 8 (Petra) – Jordanian Ambassador to Tunisia Abdullah Abu Rumman met Monday with the Director-General of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), Abdel Rahim Suleiman, at the union's headquarters to discuss ways to enhance media cooperation between Jordan and the union and to expand opportunities for experience exchange in radio and television.
Accompanied by his deputy, Counselor Sahar Qatarneh, Abu Rumman highlighted Jordan's longstanding experience in radio and television and emphasized the importance of ASBU as a key platform for Arab joint work in the media sector, expressing Jordan's readiness to strengthen and develop fruitful cooperation with the union.
Suleiman praised Jordan's active participation in union activities, noting that membership of the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation is among the most distinguished, and commended the contributions of Jordanian media professionals to enriching the Arab media landscape.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the ambassador toured the ASBU Academy, viewing its multi-purpose training hall, multimedia room with advanced computers, fully equipped television studio with high-quality cameras, and digital radio studio, as well as simultaneous translation, audio recording, and editing rooms.
Abu Rumman expressed admiration for the academy's advanced facilities and training programs, as well as its expert staff, stressing Jordan's commitment to increasing the participation of its Radio and Television Corporation personnel in the academy's programs and benefiting from its expertise to keep pace with developments in the audiovisual sector.
