Zelensky Named Priority Of Next Ramstein Meeting
“On the eve of the meeting, we had a thorough discussion with Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, and a lengthy meeting on the details of providing for the fall and winter of this year and the budget for next year,” he said.
The head of state noted that Shmyhal will be attending the Ramstein meeting in the coming days. During the meeting, the key objectives of the Ukrainian side were defined.
“Strengthening air defense is the number one goal for this Ramstein and for our contacts in Europe and the US in general,” Zelensky emphasized.
The president and defense minister also set priorities for 2026, both in terms of the main resources needed by the Defense Forces and in terms of funding.
"There is a lot of work ahead with our partners, and we must all be equally effective in this work - all state institutions, everyone who is in contact with our friends around the world, everyone who works in defense. The Ukrainian army must be – and will be! – consistently strong," the head of state said.
Zelensky also stressed that despite the full-scale war, Ukraine is maintaining the stability of its social system and continues to make social payments in full, which demonstrates the resilience and effectiveness of the state.
“I held a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko and Minister of Social Policy Denys Ulyutin on the fulfillment of social obligations and preparations for next year within the budgetary possibilities,” the head of state said.
He stressed that the state is fulfilling its obligations and providing all necessary payments.
“And this will continue to be the case. This is also one of the proofs of Ukraine's stability and effectiveness – even in times of full-scale war, Ukraine maintains its social system and makes payments,” Zelensky emphasized.
