Oil Ministry Working To Become Advanced Model In Digital Transformation - Undersecretary

KUWAIT, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah, affirmed that the ministry is working according to an integrated vision to become an advanced model among government institutions in digital transformation.
This was delivered in an opening speech by Sheikh Nimer Al-Sabah on Monday at the Second Digital Transformation Conference and the Asset Integrity and Operations Conference, held over two days under the patronage of Minister of Oil Tariq Al-Roumi, with the participation of a select group of local and international experts and specialists.
Sheikh Nimer Al-Sabah affirmed that the ministry has made digital transformation a strategic focus of its institutional plans, not only as a tool for improving performance and streamlining procedures, but also as a key approach to enhancing transparency, improving the efficiency of government services, and developing the decision-making system.
He noted that the Ministry has already begun implementing a comprehensive set of digital projects aimed at building a more flexible and integrated work environment, reflecting the spirit of renewal and innovation in its institutional work.
He pointed out that investing in national talent is a key pillar of this vision. The Ministry has launched specialized training and qualification programs in artificial intelligence, digital analytics, and cybersecurity to ensure employees' readiness for future requirements and enhance their ability to efficiently lead digital transformation projects.
The Second Digital Transformation and Asset and Operational Safety Conferences are strategic platforms for discussing the latest developments in digital transformation and enhancing operational safety standards in the oil and gas sector.
They aim to showcase the latest innovative solutions and technologies, discuss national and regional strategies for improving asset performance and operational safety, and exchange knowledge and expertise between government agencies, oil and gas companies, and technology solution providers. (end)
