Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha In Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, Reaches Halfway Mark

New Delhi, Delhi, 21 November 2025: The sacred seven-day Shri Shiv Mahapuran Katha, being narrated by Param Pujya Kailashanand Giri Ji Maharaj, has successfully reached its midpoint with the conclusion of its fourth day today. Commenced on 17th November at the DD Ground in Paschim Vihar, this divine event has been drawing a daily gathering of more than 3,000-4,000 devotees. The spiritually enriched ambience and magnificent theme-based décor have transformed the venue into a sanctified realm of devotion.
One day before the Katha - on 16th November — a grand Kalash Yatra was organised, with enthusiastic participation from over 1,100 devotees who filled the entire area with devotional fervour.
On the first day (17 November), the Katha began ceremoniously and was filled with devotional bliss. The presence of 3,000-4,000+ devotees reflected immense enthusiasm and faith.
The second day (18 November) marked the beginning of profound teachings on Shiv Mahapuran, accompanied by soulful live bhajans that elevated the devotional atmosphere.
On the third day (19 November), two significant and divine episodes were presented:
The heart-touching narration of Sati Katha deeply moved the devotees.
The sacred and cultural depiction of the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati filled the entire pandal with celebration and spiritual joy.
Additionally, the beautifully presented Nataraja Dance by the performers offered a mesmerising glimpse of the divine Tandava of Lord Shiva, receiving immense appreciation from the thousands present.
On the fourth day (20 November), the Katha delved deeper into devotion and the essence of Shiv Tattva. The continuous attendance of 3,000-4,000+ devotees each day showcases the profound spiritual influence of Swami Ji's guidance.
Shri Naresh Kumar Airan, the chief patron of the event, expressed, "The first four days have displayed extraordinary devotion and spiritual energy. From the divine Kalash Yatra to the mesmerising enactment of the divine wedding and Nataraja dance - every moment has been a blessing. As we move toward the final three days, the spiritual vibrations here are growing even stronger."
Shri Surendra Rautela, National President - Shri Kedarnath Temple, Delhi, also shared: "The ocean of devotees arriving every day proves that the power of devotion to Lord Shiva still resides deeply in the hearts of society. The divine teachings of Param Pujya Swami Ji have sanctified the entire environment with Shivmaya energy.
