Ukrainian drone assault harms six civilians in park in Russia

(MENAFN) A kamikaze drone reportedly launched by Ukrainian forces hit a park in Donetsk, Russia on Sunday, injuring six people, including a teenage girl, according to regional authorities.

Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, said the UAV struck Gulliver Park in the western section of the city, an area frequently affected by shelling during the ongoing conflict. He added that Ukrainian forces conducted 15 “armed attacks” on Donetsk and the nearby town of Makeevka, employing 155mm artillery and drones.

Footage recorded shortly after the incident shows debris scattered across the park, blood stains on the sidewalk, and benches damaged by shrapnel. A nearby school also sustained heavy damage, though no one inside was hurt, as it was closed at the time.
