I am Professor of Cardiology, and Head of the Department of Clinical Sciences, Danderyd Hospital (KI DS). The research group focuses on acute and chronic coronary syndromes, involving randomized clinical trials, observational studies, and epidemiological research using registries and other health databases. But we also use imaging, mainly coronary computed tomography angiography, and develop methods to identify plaques that will cause myocardial infarction.

I'm also interested in how new knowledge and guidelines can be implemented in clinical care and monitored through quality registries. Previously, I served as chairman of the SWEDEHEART registry. Currently, I am the chairman of the National Program Group (Nationella programområdet) for cardiovascular diseases.
