In-House Backlash: PTI Women Throw Eggs At Aleema Outside Adiala Jail
Police say the women who threw eggs at Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, belong to PTI itself.
The incident occurred Friday outside Adiala Jail while Aleema Khan was speaking to reporters. Two eggs were hurled toward her; one struck her, prompting commotion among party workers. Police intervened immediately, detaining two women at the scene and moving them to the Adiala police post.

According to a Rawalpindi police spokesperson, the women are PTI members. The spokesperson added that delegations from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's All Government Employees Grand Alliance and APCA had gathered nearby for protests, and the egg-throwing followed after Aleema Khan reportedly did not respond to the women's questions.
Police confirmed that the women involved remain in custody for further inquiry.
