Israeli Occupation Troops Blow Up 12-Storey Building In Gaza
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
GAZA, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- Troops of the Israeli occupation on Friday blew up a 12-storey building in Gaza City turning it into smoldering wreckage and damaging nearby refugee camps.
Witnesses told KUNA that the devastated high-rise building had housed dozens of Palestinian families indicating that the occupants evacuated it minutes before it was blown up after the occupation army warned them.
They added that the huge blast damaged and destroyed nearby shantytowns for the refugees who would face difficulties in securing roofs over their heads.
The occupation forces have been on the offensive against Gaza City, with Tel Aviv pledging to seize it. Scores of Palestinians have been killed in the escalated bombardment and attacks. (end)
