Profile Articles Activity

I split my time between working as a Research Associate at the Policy Research Unit for Behavioural and Social Sciences, based at Newcastle University, and completing a Three Schools post-doctoral Prevention Fellowship, based at Northumbria University. My research centres around disease prevention, including 'non-traditional' interventions and deliverers of disease prevention (e.g. service providers from the voluntary and community sector). I do a lot of work around Making Every Contact Count (MECC), which is a person-centred and opportunistic approach to behaviour change conversations. Through this work I have observed patterns around policymaking and NHS strategic aims more generally, which is bolstered by my experience at the Policy Research Unit. I have a background in Psychology (BSc), specifically Health Psychology (MSc), although would now define myself more broadly as a behavioural scientist.
