War Update: 129 Combat Engagements On Frontline, Fighting Ongoing In Most Sectors

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) That is according to the Ukrainian General Staff's operational update as of 22:00 on September 4, 2025, posted on Facebook and reported by Ukrinform.

“Since the beginning of day, 129 combat engagements have taken place. The enemy carried out two missile strikes and 53 air strikes, launched three missiles, and dropped 80 guided bombs. Additionally, Russia deployed 1,931 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,427 artillery strikes on Ukrainian positions and populated areas,” the General Staff reported.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors , the Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks. The enemy conducted 14 airstrikes, dropped 30 guided bombs, and carried out 175 artillery strikes, including 10 from multiple rocket launchers.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector , Ukrainian forces stopped four Russian attacks near Vovchansk; three combat engagements are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk sector , Russian forces conducted five offensive actions near Stepova Novoselivka, Borivska Andriivka, and toward Petropavlivka and Novoplatonivka. One combat engagement is ongoing.

In the Lyman sector , Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 15 times near Hrekivka, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Torske, Novomykhailivka, and toward Novyi Myr and Shandryholove. Eight engagements continue.

In the Siversk sector , Ukrainian forces repelled 17 attacks near Hryhorivka, Serebrianka, and toward Yampil, Dronivka, Siversk, and Vyimka. Six engagements are ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector , five combat engagements were recorded. The enemy attempted advances toward Bondarne and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 11 times, focusing on Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.

In the Pokrovsk sector , Russian troops attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses 28 times near Volodymyrivka, Kucheriv Yar, Rubizhne, Nikanorivka, Sukhyi Yar, Zvirove, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne, and toward Novopavlivka. Three engagements are ongoing.

Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 144 enemy personnel, including 92 irrevocably, and destroyed one tank, 30 UAVs, 15 vehicles, one special vehicle, and damaged four artillery systems, one UAV control point, and five enemy vehicles.

In the Novopavlivka sector , the Russians attacked 20 times near Filia, Sichneve, Komyshuvakha, Voskresenka, Maliivka, Temyrivka, and Olhivske. Six engagements continue.

In the Huliaipole sector , Russian forces conducted an airstrike near Bilohiria; no offensive ground actions were reported.

In the Orikhiv sector , two combat engagements occurred near Kamianske; Stepnohirsk came under an airstrike.

In the Prydniprovske sector , the Russian invaders attempted two breakthrough attacks and carried out an airstrike near Kozatske.

The situation in other sectors remains relatively unchanged.

As previously reported, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that Ukraine's Defense Forces are actively working to boost capabilities to counter Russian Shahed strike drones.
