Katara To Host Public Viewing Event For Total Lunar Eclipse On Sunday

Doha, Qatar: The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara invites members of the public to the Lunar Eclipse Event at the Al Thuraya Planetarium on Sunday, September 7.

"Join us for an unforgettable night under the stars to witness one of the most fascinating celestial events," Katara announced on social media.

The event will begin from 7pm to 11pm at the Al Thuraya Planetarium - Building 41 at the Upper Amphitheater, in Katara.

This event will coincide with the total lunar eclipse public viewing event , organized by Qatar Museums in collaboration with Qatar Calendar House, at the Museum of Islamic Art Park.

Both events are set to witness a total lunar eclipse that will occur on Sunday. Citizens and residents can observe all phases of the eclipse.

The partial phase will begin at 7:27pm, followed by the total eclipse at 8:31pm, reaching its peak at 9:12pm Doha time. The total phase will end at 9:53pm, with the final partial stage concluding around 10:56pm.

This eclipse will be visible across large parts of Africa, in the Middle East, Europe, and most of Asia and Australia.
