Studied theoretical physics in early graduate school and published a sole author textbook on mathematical physics. Later switched to atmospheric physics and now study the physics of climate. Held a fellowship in the Princeton Geosciences department before moving on to a staff position at NOAA's Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, a preeminent climate modeling center.
I Have written for a scientifically literate broader audience before in the online magazine Inference, as well as book reviews and op-eds for the American Journal of Physics and the American Physical Society newsletter
