Nearly 218,000 People In Donetsk Region Require Evacuation

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was stated by Oleksii Riabikin, Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development, during a briefing, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

“If we look at the dynamics in the Donetsk region, from June 1 to August 29, 2025, nearly 62,000 people have been evacuated, including 423 with limited mobility and 5,000 children. Currently, nearly 218,000 people still need evacuation, among them 1,500 with limited mobility and 16,500 children,” he stated.

According to Riabikin, from June 1 to August 29, over 7,000 people were evacuated from the Dnipropetrovsk region, including 402 individuals with limited mobility and 2,450 children.

He added that another 16,500 people in the Dnipropetrovsk region still require evacuation, including 319 with limited mobility and 164 children.

“As for the transit point in Pavlohrad, it has recently changed location, and nearly 7,600 people passed through it between August 1 and the morning of August 29. Regarding the evacuation point in Lozova, which has been operating since August 19, it has served 883 people to date,” the deputy minister reported.

He also noted that 171 people have passed through the Voloske evacuation center in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which was established to ease the load on other evacuation points.

Currently, 22 evacuation points (also functioning as transit centers) are operating across Ukraine.
