Queues At Slovak Border Are Not Related To Permission For 18-22 Year Olds To Leave Country

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) This was reported by Olena Trachuk, spokesperson for the Chop Border Guard Detachment, in a comment to Ukrinform.

“Yes, indeed, today there are queues at the exit from Ukraine to Slovakia; currently 35 cars are waiting to cross the border. But this is not related to the government's permission for men aged 18-22 to leave the country. It is related to the end of the holiday season,” she said.

The spokeswoman for the Chop detachment also noted that today, eight men under the age of 22 who were heading to the EU were processed at this checkpoint on the Slovak-Ukrainian border.

Earlier today, the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine reported that a queue had formed at the Ukrainian-Slovak checkpoint“Uzhhorod-Vyšné Nemecké” for departure from Ukraine.

Citizens are asked to take the queue into account when planning their trip and to use other border crossing points with Slovakia, in particular:“Malyi Bereznyi-Ubla” (cars and pedestrians),“Mali Selmentsi” (pedestrians),“Chop (Strazh)” (railway connection).

As reported by Ukrinform, since August 28, Ukrainian men between the ages of 18 and 22 have the right to travel abroad during martial law . To leave the country, citizens must have a military registration document in paper or electronic form.
