Gráinne Tyrrell is a Human Factors PhD Researcher in the School of Architecture and Product Design at the University of Limerick.

She has a BSc Hons in Product Design and Technology, with an emphasis on biomedical device design. Her research focuses on filling key user data gaps for interventional cardiology. Specifically, she is gathering anthropometric measures and user forces from cardiologists to inform device design, optimise user experience, and overall improve patient outcomes. As an Irish Research Council Scholar, her research is conducted in collaboration with Medtronic Structural Heart and Aortic under the Enterprise Partnership Scheme.

She is a member of the Irish Human Factors and Ergonomics Society
