Enemies Attack Energy Facilities In Six Regions Of Ukraine

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

"On the night of August 26-27, the enemy carried out another massive terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure. Targeted destructive strikes were carried out on energy and gas transportation facilities in six regions of Ukraine, namely Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia," the statement said.

In particular, the UAV strike damaged equipment at one of the key substations in Sumy, leaving a significant part of the city and industrial consumers without electricity. In the Poltava region, the enemy deliberately launched a comprehensive attack on gas transportation infrastructure facilities, causing significant damage.

It is noted that energy and gas companies are making efforts to restore power and gas supplies as soon as possible. The extent of the damage is being assessed.

The Ministry of Energy considers the massive attack to be a continuation of Russia's deliberate policy of destroying Ukraine's civilian infrastructure on the threshold of the heating season.

As reported, on August 26, Russians attacked a mine in the Dobropillia community and a coal processing plant. As a result of the attack on the mine, one miner was killed and three were wounded. The coal processing plant stopped working due to the damage caused.
