Theresa Larkin
Theresa Larkin is an academic in Graduate Medicine at the University of Wollongong, where she teaches anatomy and physiology to graduate-entry medical students. She has a PhD in Biomedical Science, a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and a Masters Degree in Higher Education. She loves teaching clinical anatomy with interactive learning activities to promote deep understanding. Her specialty knowledge area is the science of the human body and applying this in health contexts.
Theresa has diverse research projects, examining: the roles of various hormones in mental health and maternal health; associations between hip muscle strength, stress and back pain during pregnancy; omega-3 fatty acids and health; the influence of deep vein anatomy on chronic pelvic pain.
