Qatar Announce 23-Man Squad For U-20 Gulf Cup
Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has announced a 23-player squad for the U-20 Gulf Cup, set to take place in Abha, Saudi Arabia, from August 28 to September 9.
Coach Emmanuel Infante selected players including Naim Al Maghni, Ali Boumediene, Christian Saric, Ahmed Al Sayed, Ahmed Nasser, Iran Kothuru, Emmanuel Francis, Bilal Mohammed, Jadon Joseph, and Khaled Al Shuaibi, among others.
Qatar are placed in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Yemen.
The team departs for Abha today and opens its campaign against Kuwait on Thursday.
They will face Yemen on August 31 and wrap up the group stage against Saudi Arabia on September 3.
