71 Palestinians Martyred In New Israeli Attacks On Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Aug 22 (KUNA) -- Medical sources confirmed 71 more deaths and 251 injuries as a result of atrocities by the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours.
A number of victims are still trapped under debris and in areas inaccessible for rescuers, the health authorities in Gaza said in a statement on Friday.
The latest figures took the overall number of casualties since October 7, 2023, to 62,263 martyrs and 157,365 injuries.
They include 24 martyrs and 133 wounded persons who fell victim to Israeli brutalities while elbowing their way for food relief.
The overall number of victimized by food aid went up to 2,060 martyrs and more than 15,197 injured, the statement said, citing reports from local hospitals.
Two more deaths from starvation have been confirmed, raising the overall to 273, including 112 children. (end)
