Team Falcons Win Esports World Cup 2025 Club Championship

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Team Falcons has won the Esports World Cup 2025 Club Championship thanks to an impressive points haul across all seven weeks of the competition.

With a current total of 4,900 points, and the potential to still increase that further, Team Falcons has a commanding lead at the top of the club championship table, and were confirmed as winners when Team Liquid's Street Fighter 6 player Alan "Nephew" Sun was eliminated from the competition in 25th-36th place. With Team Liquid now eliminated from all games at the Esports World Cup 2025 they are unable to top Falcons' points total.

The win sees Team Falcons become two time winners of the Club Championship, having also dominated the inaugural competition in 2024. As the defending champions, the Club entered the 2025 competition as the favourite, and despite coming down to the final week, they managed to retain the trophy convincingly.
With 22 teams competing, the most for a single Club at EWC, Team Falcons always had an advantage over others, but some underwhelming results early on in the competition made the race for first place closer than many expected. It ended up coming right down to the final week, with five clubs still in contention for the win at the start of Week 7.

While Team Falcons has claimed first place, there is still a lot to play for further down the table, with multiple clubs still looking to increase their final placement and earn a larger share of the prize pool. Team Vitality can still claim second place with a victory in the Counter-Strike 2 tournament, while Mouz, who currently sit 50th, could still jump into the top 10.
