
Erdogan, Macron Hold Phone Call On Ukraine, Gaza, And Bilateral Ties
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation, Azernews reports.
The Turkish Presidency's Directorate of Communications announced on social media platform X.
During the call, the leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as a wide range of regional and global issues, including the Russia-Ukraine peace process and the latest developments in Gaza.
President Erdogan underlined that Türkiye continues its efforts to secure a just peace to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. He also noted that Ankara is closely monitoring the ongoing contacts in Alaska and Washington.
The Turkish leader reiterated that Türkiye is ready to host and support any initiatives for peace negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow.
On Gaza, Erdogan stressed that Türkiye is working to ensure a ceasefire in the enclave, where he said a major humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding.
