Tech7 Awarded $489M TRACE 2.0 SBIR Phase III IDIQ Contract To Accelerate Commercial Technology Integration Across Defense, Homeland Security, And Commerce
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Aug. 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tech7 Company, a rapidly growing innovator in the US defense and national security sector, is proud to announce the award of a $489 million Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). This groundbreaking award will enable Tech7 to develop and deploy its TRACE 2.0 technology, a follow-on to the original TRACE platform, to support the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Commerce (DOC), and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The TRACE 2.0 IDIQ allows the Government to rapidly identify, procure, and evaluate high potential solutions in an operationally relevant environment. It allows the US Government to take advantage of technical innovation occurring at a rate that is far outpacing the Government's ability to identify, evaluate, and procure the right technologies and solutions to meet the multitude of demands on America's military and other Government agencies. The scope of the TRACE 2.0 IDIQ contract includes operational gap analysis, market evaluation, rapid integration, and test and evaluation of third-party technologies. By leveraging TRACE 2.0, Tech7 will help its government partners address evolving threats and operational challenges with agility and precision.
Ann Birbeck, Executive Vice President for the TRACE program at Tech7, emphasized the significance of this contract: "The TRACE 2.0 Program is a game-changer for government agencies seeking to bridge the gap between commercial/3rd party innovation and operational needs. This contract allows us to scale our efforts and bring cutting-edge capabilities to the DoD, DHS, and DOC. Our technical teams are committed to delivering solutions that enhance decision-making, improve mission outcomes, and strengthen national security."
The TRACE 2.0 platform will serve as a digital workflow and collaboration hub and incorporate AI/ML tools to facilitate machine-to-machine (M2M) integration between government systems and third-party technologies. It will support missions across unclassified and classified environments, ensuring seamless technology onboarding and operational readiness. The platform will also incorporate a continual Development, Security, and Operations (DevSecOps) approach to deliver ongoing updates and improvements based on user feedback.
"This award is a transformative opportunity for Tech7 to deliver rapid and scalable solutions to our government partners," said Juan Echeverry, President and CEO of Tech7. "The TRACE 2.0 IDIQ represents the next generation of business innovation and technology integration, enabling the DoD, DHS, and DOC to leverage commercial capabilities at the speed of relevance. We are honored to trailblaze this avenue of advancing national security and operational efficiency."
As Tech7 embarks on this ambitious initiative, the company remains dedicated to its mission of delivering innovative solutions that empower government agencies to achieve their objectives, while maintaining their industry-leading company culture. This award marks a significant milestone in Tech7's journey and reinforces its position as a rapidly growing leader in the defense and national security community.
