Israel abolishes three hundred Palestinian houses in Gaza

(MENAFN) Over the past three days, the Israeli military has destroyed more than 300 homes in the Zeitoun neighborhood of central Gaza as part of its ongoing occupation strategy. Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for Gaza’s Civil Defense, said on Wednesday that Israeli forces carried out heavy assaults in the area, deliberately targeting civilian residential buildings.

Basal added that structures with five floors or more were particularly targeted, and the explosives used caused surrounding buildings to collapse as well. Some homes were demolished while residents remained inside, resulting in casualties. The demolitions were conducted without prior warning, and intense bombardment prevented civil defense teams from reaching the injured.

Israel is facing growing international criticism for its genocide in Gaza, where over 61,700 people have been killed since October 2023. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Additionally, Israel faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its actions in the enclave.
