Oman Strongly Condemns Israeli Occupation Statements On So-Called Greater Israel

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MUSCAT, Aug 14 (KUNA) -- Oman strongly condemned on Thursday the statements made by the Israeli occupation Prime Minister regarding the so-called "Greater Israel," firmly rejecting illegal expansionist plans that violate international law and threaten the legitimate rights of Palestinians to establish their independent state.
The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that such expansionist proposals represent a direct threat to regional security and stability, increasing hostility and tensions at a time when de-escalation, cooperation among regional states, and respect for national sovereignty are urgently required across all neighboring states.
Oman reaffirmed its steadfast position supporting the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of all regional states, firmly opposing any plans intended to undermine national entities or artificially alter the established political geography of the Middle East region.
The Sultanate reiterated its commitment to inalienable Palestinian rights, including establishing their independent state within June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, fully complying with international resolutions, Arab Peace Initiative guidelines, and global legal legitimacy standards.
Oman urged the international community to adopt a decisive stance against aggressive policies, ensure protection of Palestinian rights, and actively facilitate conditions for a fair, just, and comprehensive peace settlement in the region for all affected peoples. (end)
