Alqodwa Party Condemns Netanyahu's 'Greater Israel' Remarks
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
Amman, Aug 13 (Petra) – The "Alqodwa Jordanian Party on Wednesday strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statements on the so-called "Greater Israel vision," describing them as colonial ambitions extending beyond the occupied Palestinian territories into parts of Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Lebanon.
In a statement, the party said the aggressive remarks constitute a blatant attack on the sovereignty of Arab states, a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and a failed attempt to legitimize an expansionist settlement project that threatens regional security and stability.
The party affirmed that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership and with an aware citizenry, remains the first line of defense for Arab and Islamic land and identity, warning that any infringement on its sovereignty or Palestinian rights will be met with unwavering national rejection.
It called on political and popular forces in Jordan, Palestine, and across the Arab world to unite, overcome divisions, and adopt a coordinated Arab stance against what it described as dangerous schemes. The statement urged the international community to fulfill its legal and ethical responsibilities, take practical steps to halt the escalation, hold perpetrators accountable, and protect regional and international security from sliding into catastrophe.
The party concluded by emphasizing that "Jordan will remain the stronghold of Arabism, and Palestine will remain its beating heart."
