Russia's Largest Shipyard Begins Staff Cuts - CCD

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council on Facebook.

“The job cuts are expected to take place in stages and continue until the end of the year. The reason is a lack of funding due to the depletion of the national welfare fund and budget problems in Russia,” the report said.

According to the Center, the Russian government recently cut funding for the fleet modernization program by 40%.

In addition, production has declined significantly due to sharp restrictions on government orders in the industry.

As noted by the center, the huge costs of the war against Ukraine have led to a record deficit in the Russian budget and cuts in all expenditures not directly related to the military-industrial complex.

In particular, together with the consequences of sanctions, financial problems, and a sharp drop in household incomes, this has led to a rapid decline in production in many industries.

“Ru-propaganda is powerless to hide the devastating consequences of the Kremlin's unwillingness to end the war. Nevertheless, the Russian authorities are determined to continue the war even at the cost of destroying their economy,” the Center for Political and Strategic Studies emphasized.
