In Cooperation with Ministry of Interior: NHRI holds awareness workshop for Dubai Police leadership
(MENAFN- Viola Communications) Abu Dhabi, UAE, 6 August 2025: As part of its ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, the National Human Rights Institution (NHRI), in collaboration with the General Department of Human Rights in Dubai Police, organised a specialised awareness workshop for senior leadership at Dubai Police.
This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination and institutional cooperation with law enforcement entities.
The session was led by H.E. Dr. Saeed Al Ghfeli, Secretary-General of the NHRI; Abdulazeez Al Obathani, Head of International and Regional Organisations Section; and Fatima Al Hosani, Head of the Awareness and Education Section. It was also attended by Mr. Saeed Al Ahbabi from the Secretary-General’s Office and Ms. Klaithem Al Kaabi from the Media Center.
The workshop forms part of the NHRI’s efforts to carry out a series of regular field visits and to build effective partnerships with police authorities. It also aims to enhance coordination in promoting and protecting human rights.
During the session, the NHRI outlined its methodology for field visits and emphasised the importance of collaboration and integration with police forces to strengthen the protection of basic human rights and support the UAE’s national commitments in this area.
This initiative is part of a broader series of engagements and awareness workshops being conducted by the NHRI with various government entities, with the aim of unifying efforts and reinforcing alignment with both national and international human rights standards.
