Awareness Event For Students Organised At Al Meera By Al Rayyan Municipality
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Al Rayyan Municipality has organised an awareness event at Al Meera Consumer Goods Company's headquarters, targeting school students with the aim of introducing them to the "My Sustainable City" initiative.
This initiative was launched by the municipality to promote the concept of sustainability and highlight the initiative's role in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in addition to reinforcing the importance of adhering to laws and regulations to ensure a safe and sustainable future for all.
The event featured presentations and interactive workshops conducted by the municipality's team.
These focused on the concept of sustainability and its environmental, social, and economic dimensions, while also emphasising the importance of partnerships between government entities and the role of legislation in preserving natural resources and ensuring their sustainability for future generations.
Ali Al-Qahtani, head of the Health Control Section at Al Rayyan Municipality, gave a presentation on the Ministry of Municipality's efforts in monitoring the quality and safety of food products.
He explained to the students that the ministry conducts regular inspection tours of food establishments and commercial outlets to ensure compliance with health standards and food safety regulations, contributing to the protection of consumer health and limiting the circulation of non-compliant products.
He also noted that these efforts help reinforce trust in the quality of food products and strengthen national food security.
