GCC Chief Discusses Bilateral Relations With Azerbaijan

RIYADH, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Jasem Al-Budaiwi received on Monday the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Saudi Arabia Shahin Abdullayev, at the General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh.
In a statement, the General Secretariat said that the two officials discussed bilateral ties and ways to boost the relations, as well as regional and international issues of shared interest.
The ambassador presented an official letter from the President Ilham Heydar Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, inviting the General Secretary to participate in the World Urban Forum, which will be held in Azerbaijan in May 2026, in cooperation with United Nations Human Settlements Program, the statement continued.
