Amman, July 23 (Petra) – World Health Organisation (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus warned of the risk of famine in Gaza.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Ghebreyesus said the volume of food entering the besieged and devastated territory is "significantly below the minimum required for the population's survival."
He stated, "A large portion of Gaza's population is starving, and I can find no more accurate description than mass famine." He underscored that the humanitarian crisis is "man-made."
